At Encouraging Hand Trauma Counseling, we work with individuals who are seeking support, healing, and meaningful change in their lives.
While we specialize in trauma and PTSD, we recognize that emotional and mental health challenges can affect many areas of life. We support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, shame, guilt, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and the lasting effects of difficult or overwhelming experiences.
Whether you are struggling with past experiences, feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, our goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
We believe that therapy is not just about addressing symptoms. It is also about understanding the underlying causes of your challenges, developing healthier ways of navigating life, strengthening your connection with yourself, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
You do not have to experience a major traumatic event to benefit from therapy. Wherever you are in your journey, we are here to help you move forward.
At Encouraging Hand Trauma Counseling, individual therapy sessions typically range from 38 to 59 minutes, depending on the therapeutic modality being used, your individual treatment needs, and insurance coverage. Most standard therapy sessions last approximately 52–55 minutes.
We also offer extended therapy intensives, which provide an opportunity for more focused and in-depth therapeutic work. These sessions are available in 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-hour increments, depending on your treatment goals, clinical needs, and therapist availability.
Therapy intensives may be beneficial for individuals who prefer longer sessions, want additional time to explore specific concerns, or would benefit from a more concentrated approach to treatment.
Please note: Extended therapy intensives are not covered by insurance through our practice and are offered as self-pay services. Fees and scheduling options will be discussed before booking.
Our goal is to provide flexible, individualized treatment options that support your unique needs and healing journey. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to determine the session length and treatment approach that best aligns with your goals.
There are several different therapeutic approaches, and finding the right one can feel overwhelming. The good news is that you don't have to figure it out on your own.
At Encouraging Hand Trauma Counseling, we recognize that every individual is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Our therapists are trained in various evidence-based treatment modalities and work collaboratively with you to identify approaches that best support your individual needs, experiences, and goals.
Some approaches focus on thoughts and behaviors, while others address emotions, past experiences, or the connection between the brain, body, and nervous system.
Your therapist will take time to understand your concerns, explain available treatment options, and help determine which approaches may be most beneficial for you. As you progress, your treatment can be adjusted to ensure it continues to meet your needs.
You don't need to know which therapy is right for you before beginning. That's something we will explore together.
